parkrun #54 – Worsley Woods parkrun
Time: 22:50
Tourism event #23
This event means I’ve now completed a third (21/63) of the parkrun events in the North West region. The aim is to complete them all and become a Regionnaire!
Worsley Woods is an interesting course. The straight out and back section along a former railway line is punctuated by a loop around the woodland. This involved flights of stairs at two points, running under roads and a motorway, and a fair amount of concentration to avoid slipping over in the mud. I’m surprised I managed to keep my time under 23 minutes! This is a parkrun I’d like to return to and run when it’s dry under foot.
My phone didn’t latch onto the GPS until half a kilometer into the run so it comes up short on Strava.
After wearing my cow cowl on my head last week (I’m not sure that suits me…!) I wore it round my neck this morning and it made a huge difference keeping my neck warm.
Persil is a parkrun sponsor and was represented at the event. We were all given stickers to wear so we could be identified in the photos they took. These should be available on Monday. They also gave out samples of washing liquid pods.
