I think this morning was the hardest I’ve found getting out of the house. Although it was windy it wasn’t particularly cold or wet, but I just didn’t feel like it. I’d planned on a longer run but in the end settled for 6k.
It was a real slog around The Mystery and it didn’t help by being overtaken by a serious runner (no jacket!) who sped past me and disappeared off into the dark.
I also had to make a detour when I discovered the big puddle blocking Wavertree Path. I could have run through it but didn’t want to spend the rest of the run with cold, wet feet.
I took a photo of Liverpool Aquatics Centre. I love the way it stands out as a beacon against the dark of the park. I get so used to seeing it that it’s strange on Wednesday mornings when it opens later to see it unlit.
