parkrunday 30th March 2019
parkrun #64 – Gibside parkrun
Different event #29
Time: 23:30
This weekend I was up in Gateshead for my youngest niece Anna’s 21st birthday party. So on Saturday morning I took the opportunity to run a new parkrun in a new region.
My sister Jane and brother-in-law Chris regularly visit the National Trust property at Gibside so Chris volunteered to drive me out there and to run his first parkrun with me.
While there I met up with Keith Tilmouth from the UK parkrun tourists Facebook group who was their voluntouring.
The course itself was ‘playful’ with a number of hills and a steep gradient. It’s not a PB course by any stretch of the imagination!
I also bumped into a couple of locals who’d been at Princes parkrun only a couple of weekends back. It’s a small world!
