Barcelona, baby!
It was great to be back running in my favourite Spanish city. There was a coolish breeze but it was fine once I got going.
I ran to the Sagrada Familia, an amazingly beautiful monster of a structure. Designed by Gaudi, it was started in 1880, opened in 2010, and isn’t due to be completed until 2026.
The only down-side to my run was the air quality. I frequently ended up with grit? sand? ash? in my eye and had to blink to clear it.
Whatever it was in the air hit me in the back of the throat and without a drink of water it was rather unpleasant.
I do hope this is just a seasonal or weather-related thing as I wouldn’t like to think the air will be bad on all our future visits.
Day 108/365 running 5k-a-day in 2019 for @ARUKnews – This place looks strangely Familia!
