This morning I got off the train at Patricroft and ran along the Bridgewater Canal to Stretford Marina where I bumped into Ciaran Talbot who was also running in the work for the UMRun Rundezvous free breakfast.
We’d just set off along the canal towpath when Chris Millson joined the path just ahead of us, so we were able to all run in together. It was nice to have company!
This was by far my longest run since I got injured during the marathon. It felt really good to stretch my legs and to push myself a little bit more than I have in previous weeks. My ankle is totally healed but my groin still twinges. I’ll have to make sure I keep up with the exercises!
