This morning I went to Pont y Bala parkrun. I was staying near Betws-y-Coed for our family weekend to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday and it seemed rude not to jump into the car and drive down to Bala!

Surprisingly for Wales it’s a flat course, out and back along the river twice.

The team were very friendly, and it’s great to see a new parkrun having an impact on the local community.

First finisher was tourist Jenny McBain who I met at the With Me Now Pow Wow at Dishley earlier in the year. She’s fast!
