As part of my plan to revisit some of the parkruns I’ve been to before I decided to go back to Croxteth Hall parkrun – or Crocky parkrun as it’s known by the regulars!

It was their 5th birthday so they ran the course in reverse. I caught up with Ian and Ann Heady, Margaret Roberts, and fellow runner Fawaz Ghali (who ran 30 marathons in 30 days last year).

It was an odd occasion as social distancing was starting to kick in and people were becoming much more wary. I had a feeling that this would probably be the last parkrun before the inevitable lockdown was announced and I was right.

Sad times.
