Notes

Wavertree Garden Suburb, part of the Wavertree Nook area, is a place I’d never really explored before, even though it’s on my doorstep. And I’ve got to say it was a real surprise! It was built between 1920 and 1915 and comprises 360 cottage-style houses. Over a thousand were originally planned but the First World War halted the project and it never restarted. It was designated a conservation area in the 1970s. You can read all about it on the Wavertree Society website. http://www.liverpool.ndo.co.uk/wavsoc/wgs

I passed Wavertree Nook Road Aquarium where my Dad gets all of his tropical fish from.

A black cat on top of a black car – the perfect camouflage?

Discovered another new park – Northway Recreation Ground.

Discovered that the section of Domville Road running off Mill Lane has been re-named Wylam Road. I’ve updated this on OpenStreetMap and flagged it with Google Maps.
