When I stepped out of my car on Cumbria Way to start my run there was a glorious rainbow overhead.

All of the roads off Cumbria Way are named after places in (surprise, surprise!) Cumbria – Barrow Close, Cartmel Drive, Furness Avenue, Greenodd Avenue, Hawkshead Avenue, Kents Bank, Millom Grove, Newby Grove, and Windermere Drive.

Spreyton Close sounds like it should be Spraytan Close…

Halloween is still eleven days away but some houses are already decorated for the occasion.

When I finished my main run I drove to Crompton Drive to mop up the four roads I accidentally missed on my 20th September run. This was recorded as a separate run on Strava.I’m sorry, but not all of my runs can be as interesting as Sunday’s!
