Notes
Liverpool has quite a few roads like Liver Industrial Estate where there’s nothing much to look at and where you just have to run all the way to the end and back.
Everton Cemetery was built in 1879 by a company owned by John Holding, the founder or Liverpool FC.
I ran past the Jacobs factory where they make Cream Crackers and assorted biscuits.
HMP Altcourse is one of two prisons in Liverpool, the other being Walton. Across the road is Dyson Hall Drive where there used to be a secure unit for young people. I used to work for the National Teaching and Advisory Service which had offices in spare rooms in the admin block. The secure unit was closed some years ago and has since been demolished. In its place is New Heights School, a pupil referral unit relocated from Gateacre, and a school for pupils with special needs run by the charity Birtenshaw.
I stopped to say hello to Coco the harris hawk. She is a beauty!
The original famous Blue Star chippy is famous for being famous.
At 21km this was my final long run of the year.
