{"id":1436,"date":"2020-01-01T19:18:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-01T19:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/itsafrogslife.net\/grahamruns\/?p=1436"},"modified":"2020-07-06T18:49:23","modified_gmt":"2020-07-06T17:49:23","slug":"parkrun-103-2453-chadderton-hall-nyd-double-2020-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itsafrogslife.net\/grahamruns\/2020\/01\/01\/parkrun-103-2453-chadderton-hall-nyd-double-2020-1\/","title":{"rendered":"parkrun #103 &#8211; 24:53 Chadderton Hall (NYD Double 2020 #1)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>parkrunday 1st January 2020<\/strong> (NYD Double #1)<\/li><li><strong>parkrun #103 &#8211; Cadderton Hall (#1)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Different event #58<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Time: 24:53<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I ummed and ahhed for a long time over which parkrun New Year&#8217;s Day Double to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plan A was to do Barrow and Millom, but Millom decided not to do one on New Year&#8217;s Day because they couldn&#8217;t get enough volunteers (hence my visit <a href=\"https:\/\/itsafrogslife.net\/grahamruns\/2019\/12\/28\/parkrun-102-2735-millom-for-twixtmas\/\">last parkrunday<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plan B was to do Barrow and Ford. Jo had told me she was volunteering at Ford so I thought it might be fun to join her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I looked at the parkun NYD Double map and spotted Newborough Forest and Nant y Pandy on Anglesey. These were closer than the Lake District and I thought it looked fun. That was Plan C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I heard that Andy and Laura from the Running Challenges browser extension were going to be at Tawd Valley along with Calum and Lyndsay so I decided to join them there instead. That was Plan D and the one I stuck with!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tawd Valley was 10.30am so I looked for one I could do at 8.30am or 9.00am, preferably a new event. I spotted Chadderton Hall near Bolton and worked out I&#8217;d have enough time to run it and get to Tawd Valley 15 minutes before the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chadderton Hall was a nice enough course, although as a four lapper it&#8217;s not one I&#8217;d rush back to. Each lap takes you down a hill, along the river, up a hill, round the rose garden, then back to the start\/finish.
