{"id":839,"date":"2019-05-31T12:41:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-31T11:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/itsafrogslife.net\/grahamruns\/?p=839"},"modified":"2019-06-24T13:07:33","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T12:07:33","slug":"5k-a-day-monthly-update-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itsafrogslife.net\/grahamruns\/2019\/05\/31\/5k-a-day-monthly-update-may\/","title":{"rendered":"5k-a-day monthly update &#8211; May"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Distance &#8211; 248.1k<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May had some incredible highs but finished on a low<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Croxteth Hall parkrun &#8211; 20:49 (new parkrun PB)<\/li><li>Liverpool Spring 10k &#8211; 44:40 (new 10k PB)<\/li><li>Great Manchester Run &#8211; 43:50 (new 10k PB)<\/li><li>Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon &#8211; 3:55:54<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the year I set myself a number of targets &#8211; to run 5k in under 21 minutes, 10k in under 45 minutes, and a marathon in under 4 hours. I&#8217;m delighted to have smashed all three targets, two of them in the same weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The down side is that I picked up two injuries running the marathon &#8211; my ankle and groin. I ran for the five days after the marathon &#8211; Monday to Friday &#8211; but I was in more pain by the end of the week than I was at the start.
