Two days ago,
on December 26 in the kitchen, Ben Cannon [right] entertained
the staff and Scouts by receiving repeated white washings during dinner. Ben
later said, "it was pretty much a blur to me. It all started with a crack I
make about Johann's [Medcraft] weight and it all went down hill from there.'
I lost count after the third or fourth attack." Even the total number of white
washings is disputed. An eyewitness suggested the total to be approximately
five white washings. At Medcraft's orders, staffers Kevin Craft, Mike Kruger
and Ben Johnson escorted Cannon from the warm kitchen to the painful elements.
In comments regarding who was responsible, Cannon responded;
"I'll admit, I brought the first few [white washings] upon myself, but after
that it was all that Stanilistic Johann Medcraft." Cannon added, "it wasn't
painful, it was morally degrading. I'm better [physically], but emotionally
there are scars that will never heal." Cannon believes he has the camp record
for the most white-washings in a single meal, but Brian Clark, better known
as Pavlov, has by far the most white washings for an entire day.
On the subject of revenge, Ben responded "It would be good to get back at that terrible fiend. We're not even. I think Johann should watch his back.' "Perhaps Medcraft should watch his red Dodge Shadow." Scout Brian Power says Medcraft's car "would look better in white." Even though this all started with Cannon insulting Medcrtaft, Cannon thinks Medcraft just picked on him because he believes Cannon is a threat to him. Cannon said in some ways he's a threat and that this "just has to do with my skills and his belt size."
Scout Olympics -Brian

The 2000-2001 Scout winter Olympics were held Monday. The events included the
staffer pull, Scout diving, staffer bowling (right), and tug-of-war
(below). The frozen Flaming Kybo Squirrels won the Olympics by
placing second in Scout diving. This securely placed them in first. The trophy
was a piece of an icicle that looked unusual. It was rewarded to the Frozen
Flaming Kybo Squirrels following the tug-of-war game. Johann tried to give it
to the staff, but Alex Fliss quickly stolen the prize. Fortunately, Fliss was
captured and promptly white washed. All enjoyed the Olympics. This, once
again, proved that Johann make incredible programs.

Two nights ago, Ben Cannon [left] was white washed multiple times
during dinner. It got so bad that he eventually white washed himself. Ben said
"It just has to do with skill and his [Johann's] belt size."

Tips
from the Commodore -Doc. John
7. Parties must stay together with no eager single man ahead, nor straggler
or two at the rear. When away from camp, stay in recently marked trails or on
recent vehicle tracks, but even this precaution is not always infallable.
21. Shoes and socks in particular must not be tight. If you wear size
9's but 10's feel so good that you buy 11's, your Antarctic foot wear should
be size 12's and 13's to allow motion of the toes and give sufficient insulation.
Do not wear too many socks unless they are each successively large in width
as well as length. (socks which are too big give folds which cause pressure
points and increased tendency to cold injury). If your feet hurt, you are not
hurt. I when they stop hurting, investigate immediately, re-warm and exercise
feet until sensation returns. Change to dry socks and innersoles if necessary.
55. The life you risk is not only your own! It is also the lives of a
lot of other people who will volunteer or be expected to go look for you.
