I only decided to go to Wythenshawe parkrun on Friday evening. It looked easy enough to get to (just off the end of the M56) and according to their Facebook page there was going to be lost of pacers there and I was curious to see if I would be able to keep in touch with the 20 minute pacer.
As it turned out the 20 and 21 minute pacers didn’t turn up, but I still got my third fastest parkrun time ever. I’m sure I would have been faster if part of the route hasn’t been on grass.
As I was walking from the carpark to the start I bumped into Andy Land, a colleague from work. He’s a member of the Dragon Running Club and was part of the takeover for this morning’s run.
This is a really nice course around Wythenshawe Park. Part of it is on grass so I wore my new On Cloudburst trail shoes for the second week in a row. I can imaging it can get pretty muddy underfoot after heavy rain!
