- parkrunday 21st August 2021
- parkrun #119 – Princes (#38)
- Time: 28:02
I’d planned to go to Lancaster this morning, but had a funny tummy when I woke up and didn’t want to risk needing an emergency toilet break on the M6 (or even on the parkrun course!), so I decided to stay local and go to my home parkrun. Anyway, it was pouring down and who wants to drive for an hour and a quarter in the rain so they can run 5k in the rain?
Jo was there volunteering for the second week while recovering from her injury. She was joined by the rest of the family – Ben who was running, and Roz and Libby who were volunteering.
Today was Princes’ annual hat day, where people are encouraged to wear a wild or wacky hat, with the best one (as judged by co-ED Guy) being announced the winner. Unfortunately the rain must have put a lot of people off wearing a hat. In fact, the rain probably put some people off attending as the numbers were down from last week.
I got a selfie with an alien who told me he’d travelled 4.631 light years from Alpha Centauri just to be here this morning!
