Back in December 2019 the North West parkrun Tourists Facebook Group held their first meet-up at the newly created Alexandra parkrun in Manchester. Today we held the second meet-up at the newly created Peel parkrun in Salford, Greater Manchester.
It’s held in Peel Park, a public park that dates back to 1848, and is a lovely two lapper that takes in the riverside, the edge of a football field, a small section of trail, and the well-maintained park.
It was nice to meet up with tourists in real life. There were even some faces I recognised from last week at Oaklands! #DollyOrBev
Jo drove this morning. We met up with Robin in the car park (not arranged!) and afterwards we had veggie sausage butties and hot drinks in the Students’ Union bar with Alistair Pooler who I bumped into at Jesmond Dene last month.
