This morning I went to Cuerden Valley in Chorley, south of Preston.

I’d planned to do this on 27th April but they didn’t confirm it was going ahead in time.

After yesterday’s decision to walk 5k-a-day instead of running so my injuries have a chance to heal I had a lovely parkrun walking round with tailwalker Terry Holden. We chatted about running, parkrun, and other stuff. We thanked the marshals as we passed them, and cheered on the runners as they passed us!

This is a really nice course through woodland on trail paths and tarmac, and well worth visiting.

A massive thanks to Run Director Pita Oates and her team on the day for making me feel so welcome! I’ll definitely be going back to run when I’m fitter – I’ll be guaranteed a course PB when I do!
