I was originally going to go to Bramhall Hall parkrun to join Calum Burrell for his 200th parkrun, but then I heard that Jo Gibson was running her 200th at Princes and I just had to be there to support her.

It was the first time I’d been back to Princes since March. I’d stayed away partly because I was enjoying the touring so much and partly because I really didn’t like the alternative course they were using while work was being done round the lake.

It was really nice to be back at my home parkrun (even though The Mystery junior parkrun is my official home parkrun on the system!) and I promise to be back more often once I’ve reached my 50th different event target in October.

And my time! I got a course PB knocking 16 seconds off my previous course best (and parkrun PB from last year) 21:19. I’m now really itching to try a flat out-and-back course to see how close I can get to breaking 20 minutes!

This was the 31st time I’ve run at Princes and the first time I’ve joined them in the cafe afterwards. It was my first time in Ryde and I’m hoping to make it a more regular occurance following future runs at Princes.

I managed to save the day with the results processing too! Matt was having problems getting the stopwatch times off his phone and onto the laptop. He didn’t have email on his phone so I showed him how to airdrop the file to me so I could email it to him. I then spent the next 15 minutes showing others in the cafe how to use airdrop with their iPhones too!
