Show 31 – Bare Feet Story special

Show 31 is a special show in support of the Bare Feet Story – a project which uses drama, music, dance, acrobatics, creative writing and carnival to work with street children in Zambia’s capital city of Lusaka. ‘Bare Feet’ allows them to play, create, laugh and learn… It allows them to be children.

Adam McGuigan set this project up a couple of years ago and is now working in partnership with a team of Zambian creatives and volunteers. They are working alongside NGOs and childrens’ centres so that, as well as taking part in creative activities, they can gain access to healthcare and shelter. With further funding and support, these children will continue to laugh, play and learn. This project is making a real and purposeful difference to the quality of their lives.

The Bare Feet Story is looking to expand the number and scope of its projects. In Zambia 16.5% of the adult population has the Aids virus, and the average life expectancy is only 33 (BBC news) so any amount of money you can give, whatever size, will be put to good use – it will help us reach more children than ever before and make a direct and life-changing impact on their lives. Full details of the Bare Feet Story can be found at www.adamstravels.com.
