Show 128 is my 8th podiversary show, celebrating eight years since I published Show 0 on 14th July 2006. I’m now what they call a seasoned podcaster and am one of only a handful of people who started podcasting in 2005/6 and are still podcasting today. For this show I’ve pulled together eight songs from the past eight years that I’ve particularly enjoyed playing. I hope you enjoy listening to them too.
Show 127 – Catching up – brings to an end a year in which I’ve only managed to get three editions of the show out. However, now that I’m more settled in my new job I’m hoping that by making shorter shows I’ll be able to get them out more often during 2014. Yeah, we’ll see…

Show 126 – Ding dong – No, this isn’t Avon calling, it’s a reference to a certain 52 second song that reached No 2 in the UK singles chart this week and which the controller of BBC Radio 1 didn’t have the guts to play in full. Yes, you might have noticed that Margaret Thatcher has passed away, and this show will be paying its own tribute with a very special song from Chumbawamba.
I’m no longer going to apologise for the long breaks between shows. New editions of the It’s A Frog’s Life Acoustic Podcast will come out as and when I can find time to do them. If you’re having withdrawal symptoms and want to hear my voice on a regular basis then you should be listening to the twice-monthly Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight!
Show 125 – Instrumental Rewind XI – plays 2012’s instrumental bedding tracks in full for you to enjoy. If you know of any suitable instrumental acoustic music I can use in future shows then drop me a line using the ‘contact’ page above.
Show 124 – The End of the World – coincides with the Mayan prediction for the end of civilisation as we know it (i.e. facebook being down for an hour), but primarily celebrates the end of the Hopping All Over The World feature as we hit countries X, Y and Z. It’s been a long journey, but worth it in the end.
Hopping All Over The World – X is for Xanadu 2. Xanadu – Pictures For The Rain From the album I Wish There Was A Way Back Home [CD Baby] [Amazon]

This month’s show – Show 123 – Birds of a feather – is themed, with most of the songs featuring our feathered friends. If you like the bird theme you might want to go back and listen to Show 85 – Stone the crows. And our penultimate Hopping All Over The World feature reaches V and W – can you guess which countries they are?

We’re back after a three month break during which time we’ve had the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations, the wettest June on record, glorious sunshine for an equally glorious London 2012 Olympic Games, followed by more rain. And now it’s September, so welcome to Show 122 – Here We Go Again

Show 86 – Man on the Moon – was originally published in July 2009 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the first moon landing in July 1969. I’m reposting it in memory of Neil Armstrong, the original and first Man on the Moon, who died today.
Neil A Armstrong (1930 – 2012) RIP
This quote is from a statement from Neil Armstrong’s family.
“For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”

Show 121 – May the Fourth be with you – goes out on Star Wars Day, and appropriately has two Star Wars themed songs to keep all the geeks out there happy. Show 120 – Titanic struggle – has been a real tough show to get together, mainly because I’ve been so busy building the new website for Liverpool Acoustic liverpoolacoustic.co.uk and the time just seemed to slip away… But I made it in the end, in the week of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, so let’s hope this show stays afloat. There’s a Hopping All Over The World journey to countries beginning with P and Q, and a couple of tracks topical for the month of April. Ready? Let’s go!
